Life-Size Peugeot Flux Concept To Debut

It's a video gamer's fantasy: watching a futuristic virtual vehicle from an Xbox 360 game spring to life at a major auto show.

That's exactly what Peugeot has in mind as it takes the wraps off a full-scale model of the hydrogen-powered Flux concept that wowed judges from Xbox, online voters and the automaker during the recent Peugeot Design Competition. This is the first time the Flux has appeared in what Peugeot describes as "real" form. A virtual version of the concept is "in a new version of the PGR 4 game on Xbox 360," says Peugeot.

The Flux is an open-air, two-seat roadster that makes liberal use of such materials as polycarbonate and aluminum, with an integrated Xbox 360. It was created by 20-year-old Mihai Panaitescu, a Romanian design student. The French automaker noted that the concept "mirrors some of Peugeot's style codes, such as a single air inlet or headlights that wrap over the wings."
